The Chincoteague Pony Pedigree Database is the database of the International Chincoteague Pony Association & Registry (ICPAR).

Chincoteague Ponies from any background are welcome in our database. Ponies do not have to be registered with the ICPAR or any registry to be submitted to the database. Ponies being in the database does not mean they are registered with the ICPAR. ICPAR registered ponies have the ICPAR logo on their database record.

To search for a Chincoteague Pony click on Pedigree Search. To submit a pony to the database fill out the form found on Request Changes and Additions. The pony may already be in our database so please verify before submitting as a new entry. If an entry requires updates or changes fill out the form also found on Request Changes and Additions.

The CPPD contains records of Chincoteague Ponies and half Chincoteague Ponies. Feral/wild Chincoteagues are designated by an F superscript, Buyback ponies by a B superscript, descendants of Misty of Chincoteague by an M superscript, and half Chincoteagues by an H superscript.

The Assateague Herds page has the list of the current feral herds on Assateague. Seperate lists for the Virginia herd owned by the Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company and the Maryland herd owned by the National Park Service.

Feral Foal Watch has lists of the feral foals born to the Virginia Chincoteague herd each year. The CPPD currently has foal lists going back to 2010.
